While working for an ad agency in Raleigh, NC, I had the distinct opportunity to work on interior environmental illustration for WholeFoods Market. The guidelines for this environmental illustration series had been defined by my Creative Director, who'd maintained a multi-decades relationship with WholeFoods market. My task was to digitally recreate the already-defined style of "mock woodcut," using a Wacom Intuos Pro and Adobe Photoshop. The entire experience was very influential on subsequent artistic aesthetics, and it was my first real introduction to digital illustration.
